Hemorrhoids are considered as common but no one will ever admit to having them to their friends out of embarrassment. This condition usually appears when there is intense pressure in the veins of the pelvic and rectal area. Those individuals who strain too hard during child labor or bowel movement are often prone to this disease. It is important to note that constipation, severe diarrhea and obesity also causes these rectal growths.
Hemorrhoids Treatment

St. John’s Wort is a plant with yellow flowers and leaves with translucent dots. Although found in some home gardens, it is typically wild and grows in meadows.
This perennial plant is famous as herbal treatment for curing depression. However, a lot of people use St John’s wort to cure hemorrhoids.

St. John’s Wort Cure
While St. John’s Wort medicinal oils and balm are readily available online and in carious herbal stores, you can also choose to make one yourself. It is quite easy and fun too.
1. Oil- To make the St. John’s Wort oil, you should fry about half a cup of dried leaves and flowers in 2 tablespoons of mustard oil. Don’t discard the flowers and leaves and leave it to cool. Add 1/3 cup of extra virgin olive oil and store in an airtight container. To use St John’s wort to cure hemorrhoids, apply it directly on the affected area three to four times a day.
2. Tea – Drinking St. John’s Wort as tea has antibiotic properties to hasten the healing of hemorrhoids. To make this herbal drink, place about a table spoon of St. John’s Wort’s flowers in a cup and pour boiling water. Let it steep for 5 minutes before straining the liquid. For sweetness, add a bit of honey.

Although St. John’s Wort is considered as an herbal plant, it is important to note its restrictions.
•Pregnant women should NOT take St. John’s Wort
•Some people might be allergic to it so take proper caution or better yet, inform a doctor prior to taking any St. John’s Wort.
•Because the properties in St. John’s Wort can hinder the body’s ability to properly absorb iron, taking of iron supplements during the herbal treatment is needed.
